The end to a great weekend away celebrating her 6th birthday . I think the highlight of the weekend for me was dinner at the America Girl doll store. Big brother and dad were awesome about joining us and the girls had such a fun time! We ended yesterday with a few hours at the Magic Kingdom.
This pregnant mama is exhausted. I realized yesterday marked 22 weeks and we are now on the downside. I am so grateful for this special time in the life of our family. Back to reality and our own beds tonight. Getting away is always nice but there's nothing like getting back home.
We stayed at the Animal Kindgom Resort at Disney for your birthday. This morning, you woke up sick. You stayed in bed and enjoyed the pretty view until you were feeling better. I am so thankful that you started to feel better and got to have a little time at the pool before we left.
We had a wonderful night visiting Mickey Mouse at the Magic Kingdom. It's always something watching the highs of lows at this place. I am so grateful we live so close and you can experience the magic often but in smaller increments of time. We love to visit the parks late in the day when the heat is gone and the crowds have thinned out.
Today I watched the two of you playing at the resort pool. I love that you have each other. It's such a blessing to observe you together, looking out for one another, entertaining each other, laughing together. It doesn't matter what hotel we visit, the pool is always a hit for you all. And if you add in a slide, it is even better.
We went to Disney for a long weekend away. It was so nice to have this time together as a family. I think the game room was even better than the Magic Kingdom this time. I could be wrong, but it seemed to be the highlight.
It doesn't get much better than Disney at night. I love the beautiful lights, the fireworks, the electric parade, and the cool breezes in the air. We had so much fun enjoying a little bit of "the magic" last night for a few hours. It was the perfect way to end the week.
