Today you asked if you could paint on the back porch. You painted the most beautiful blue flowers, a butterfly and two suns. You have had a paint brush in your hand for as long as I can remember and I love how you've grown into such a creative artist.
You and your love of painting. It really is something special.
Today we got to enjoy some time together just the two of us. You asked if you could paint. I bought some stencils and we taped them on the board. You then filled the animal shapes with different colors of paint. You loved seeing all the painted animals when you were finished.
A couple nights ago in bed you said, Mama we didn't paint today. I realized that with being outside so much recently, and dealing with some house issues, it had been a while. You were missing it. Today, I gave you the water color tubes and let you mix colors. Then you created this painting. You have always told us what you are creating, but today was the first day we could really see it too. Flowers and grass. I love watching your passion for painting continue to grow.
Today we worked more on the letter A. I am loving the curriculum we recently started and I can tell that you are loving it too. Drawing A's in finger paint quickly turned into painting your face.
I will never grow tired of watching you create your art. Your favorite thing to do is paint. I think that I should make you a book of all the images I have of you painting. Today you painted while Big Sissy and Bubby did table work. You stopped for a bit to play dress up and princess. You came back a little later dressed as a mermaid with your pink high heels and painted again. I love watching you in your world while you talk and sing and dance. You are so animated in all you do.
